My children, today I want you to walk in unselfish and unconditional love. I want you to walk in a love that comes straight from My throne and requires nothing in return. This is true love, real love.
Today I want you to love no matter what has come your way. No matter what has been said or done, just love. This is not an easy task. It requires you to crucify your flesh and forgive immediately. This is a chance to see the behaviors and the habits that you have formed and where you fall short in your love walk. You ask Me, “Lord, what do I need to work on? Open my eyes so I can see.” Today I want to do just that and allow you to glimpse the way you love and how selfish you can be at times. I want you to see how quick you can become unforgiving. I am doing this so that you will see the parts that need change and allow Me to change them. When you see the error of your ways these doors can close and remain that way.
I do not want you to walk in discouragement or condemnation. Neither of these are from Me. I only want you to have your eyes opened and immediately give these areas to Me. I want you to see for yourself how hard it has become to love without any self-gratification or expecting something in return. I want you to see where the enemy has twisted your perception of love and how you can go back to having my love flow through you. This is a time when you are to be sharing the birth of My son. My son is love. At this time of coming together in the spirit of giving, joy and peace, you will need to walk in My love. What better way to shine your light for Me than to learn how to walk in love just as My son did.
I have outlined what true love is in My word. You need to allow it to become a part of you. Love is not a complicated thing. It is hard at times but not complicated. You will be surprised at how others begin to respond to you as you learn and walk in My love. They will see and believe in the changing power that only I can bring. Also remember that love works with compassion. You are going to need compassion for those who do not respond well to the love you are showing. If you have compassion it helps to walk in My unconditional type of love.
Showing love is as simple as taking time out of your busy schedule to show your child that what they have to say is important. It is as simple as doing something for a spouse that you know they like, even if it is not what you like. It is showing up to a friend’s door offering a helping hand when you know they are down and out despite the fact you are busy. It is opening a door for someone at the store whose hands are full. It is praying for someone in need or flashing a smile to the man upstairs who doesn’t seem to like anyone. It is not responding in anger when you are being mistreated but praying for those who have hurt you. It is meeting the needs of others even if you will have to do without and trusting Me to see you through. Love is a mixture of many little things that alone don’t really seem to matter but in truth, they matter very much.
This season I want you to show others My love, by putting yourself last. I want you to love yourself as you are and always want to improve yourself in Me, but I do not want you to focus on your needs, wants, and desires. Place them in My hands and trust that I will take care of them. Instead I want you to see others needs and allow Me to use you to help them. I want to show you how easily unforgiveness sets in when your feelings get hurt. I want you to be the one who forgives no matter what.
My son forgave through everything. Even though He was beaten, battered, bruised, and about to die His mind was still on His love for you and He said “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” He has already forgiven you for what you have done. It is nothing you can earn. He has already given it to you. He was born on this earth during this season that you are celebrating so that those very words could be spoken. The act of true, unselfish, pure love, My son who died so that you may live.
I am asking you to obey My commandments and walk in love. I want you to really pay attention to how you love and how quickly you get angry. See how fast you say,” how dare they do this to me, what did I do to deserve this.” This is a season of giving and I want you to give love, My love. This is the season to allow Me to do what needs to be done so that you can show the world My love, My son. Let today be the day that your eyes are opened to the mistakes and errors in your love walk. Let us together fix these things so that you can walk in and share My love. Let us close these doors together so that the enemy can no longer have access to them. Let us share that the reason for this season is My son. Let’s show the world that My son truly is “LOVE” by living in love yourself through Me.
“Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.” (Luke 23:34, NIV)
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 3:20)
“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.” (Romans 13:8)
“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.” (Galatians 5:13)
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:4-48)
